On the surface, Gus is friendly and relentlessly optimistic, with endless reserves of energy and a cheerful, carefree attitude. With a tirelessly enthusiastic tone of voice, a warm bright-eyed expressiveness, and a charming lopsided smile, Gus finds it easy to win the heart of nearly anyone he talks to. His temper, however, can quickly turn a situation sour. He is unpredictably explosive and doesn't always handle stress very well. While he may win most over with initial impressions, his deeper core of sour pessimism and a fiery temper tends to lose people just as quickly. He views humanity as inherently selfish before all else, and is deeply uncomfortable with social interaction that he does not first initiate, strongly preferring to just be left alone.
